Grant Making

Invest. Turning donor dollars to sense, we invest in organizations that are actively advocating on behalf of women and girls – in both traditional and non-traditional ways.

Over the past ten years 96 percent of the Fund’s grant making has directly gone to organizations that assist low-income women and girls.

Some of our grantees' accomplishments include:

  • Negotiating subsidized health care insurance for child care providers under state contract;
  • Successfully advocating for passage of the Homicide Prevention Act which removes guns from domestic violence abusers with restraining order;
  • Preventing detrimental changes to the RIte Care and Family Independence Program;
  • Introducing the Domestic Violence Family Safety bill in coordination with the Rhode Island Family Court; and
  • Developing a youth-driven education reform policy platform.
