Women in Rhode Island make up just 22 percent of the General Assembly and 15 percent of Government Appointed positions.  We launched RI-GAP (Rhode Island Government Appointments Project)  to increase the number of women appointed by the Governor to cabinet level positions, boards and commissions in the public sector.  See the complete list of positions and submit your application.

Our top goal is to increase the number of women leaders in the state, who are actively involved in influencing and applying policies for the well-being of women and girls.  Our Women's Policy Institute program, the second of its kind in the nation, cultivates skills for shaping policy-making at the state level.  Meet this year's policy fellows.
