When you invest in the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island, you take on a personal responsibility for gender equality in Rhode Island. 

What might this look like?

Everyone would do their work with a gender lens.  They would use this lens to ‘see’ the decisions they make and how their ideas were influenced by a culture and society that has put boys and men first in many environments.   

They would look and ‘see’ that women are missing from the newspaper bylines, stories, CEO seats, and ask why and what they could do about it.  And, when spending resources or evaluating budgets, they would ask how women and girls are included or dismissed in the line items.

We want to be the state that is known as making gender equity a priority and a reality…and we need you on our team!
