Use Your Voice, Write a Letter to the Editor

Write a letter to the editor to The Providence Journal or your local neighborhood newspaper, which is even more likely to publish it.   It's a great way to have your voice heard!  Pus you can submit your letter online.

Letters to the Editor generally should be about under 250 words, though no longer than 450 words; be sure to include your name and contact information.

Programs such as The Op-Ed Project will help prepare you and sharpen your ideas and writing skills.  Plan to attend one of their public seminars; upcoming seminar dates in 2012: January 28 in San Diego, February 4 in DC, February 5 in San Francisco, February 25 in Los Angeles and February 25 in Boston.

Below is a list of publications accepting letters to the editor throughout the state of Rhode Island and their respective contact information.
